Micropeels

Often called the lunchtime peel, it removes a microthin layer of skin which is made up of dead cells and debris that can clog pores. It is wonderful for fine lines and environmentally damaged skin. It is offered in a series of office visits and receives results over a safe period of time with no downtime.

The Biomedic MicroPeel uses a combination of dermaplaning (sharply removing the superficial most skin layer with a blade) and a light, hydrating chemical peel. The purpose of this treatment is to remove a thin layer of dead skin that is on the surface of the face. This dead skin creates a barrier that does not allow product penetration. This dead skin can cause blemishes and does not allow the skin to “breathe.”

What to Expect During the Treatment

The face is cleansed and a sterile dermaplaning blade is prepared. The blade will scrape off the dead skin, as well as the vellus hair (peach fuzz). Once our Aesthetician has finished dermaplaning, a  layer of 2% lactic acid is applied that will impart upon the skin a nice glow, as well as provide skin hydration.

What to Expect After the Treatment

There is no downtime with this treatment. One will notice that his/her skin feels softer, looks brighter, and absorbs product faster. Women will notice that makeup is applied more evenly.

This treatment can be done as frequently as every three weeks.
